CLIENT:

Multi-million dollar national commercial real estate company - Austin, TX

CHALLENGE:

Company president on the verge of terminating a crucial long-distance partnership because of persistent conflict.

ACTION PLAN:

Telephone coaching sessions and executive development. Assessment tools provided insight into communication-style hot buttons and conflict triggers.

OUTCOME:

Client made subtle changes to the way he was interacting with his partner, significantly impacting the quality of their relationship within two weeks. Client has continued to improve and rebuild the relationship with his partner.

 

 

CLIENT:

Department of Homeland Security - Southern California

Assistant Special Agent in Charge and leadership team of senior agents.

CHALLENGE:

Rapid formation of the Department of Homeland Security with agents transferred from Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Coast Guard, and Secret Service creating mistrust, miscommunication, and friction.

ACTION PLAN:

Broad-based leadership skills assessment and training on multiple levels, including communication, conflict, feedback, leadership, teamwork, and change management. Leadership Practices Inventory (LPI) used to determine baseline skills followed by a five-day leadership training and performance enhancement program.

OUTCOME:

Through personality assessment and communication training, the team significantly improved in leadership, communication, trust and cooperation, with information subsequently shared with direct reports to continue the process.
